MT Community Conversation

Join us for Community Conversation on Thursday, June 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Shelburne Falls Community Center at 53 Main Street, Shelburne Falls, MA. Childcare is available and dinner will be provided while addressing the harmful effects of discrimination and hate speech. Facilitators from the Collaborative for Educational Services will host a workshop that brings the community together around the issue of hate speech and other topics at the request of the Mohawk Trail and Hawlemont Regional School Districts. This two-hour workshop will begin with a light dinner and casual conversation and move into understanding the landscape of hate speech through shared insights and defining it within a specific school context. Participants will then engage in small group collaborative planning and leave with a “tool kit” for continued engagement to address bias and hate speech. To register for this event, please scan the QR code with your phone or visit this online registration link.
